Sims 3: Athena Sparks 12

An hour later, I’m in a taxi on my way to work with Desmond on my mind.
The quiet peace of the bookstore is just what I need right now to keep the memories of his smile fresh in my mind as I work through my shift.
As my shift ends, I’m still thinking about my brief encounter with Desmond.  I must capture the moment in some way so I don’t forget.
The best way to keep the memory alive is through words.  I head to the house of books and make my way to the computer.
As I sit at the computer, the world around me becomes surreal as my fingers magically find their way to the right keys to form the words that I need to describe Desmond; in a fictional way of course.
I finish the chapter and submit it to my agent.  Soon after she sends me an urgent email.

I need to see more of this right away! Get me four more chapters by midnight tomorrow!!! ‘She writes in her message emphasizing it with multiple exclamation points.
To get more chapters done in a day, I realize that there is something that I must do.  I hesitantly take the first step…
 Followed by several more…
Until I am standing in front of city hall.
If I am going to be serious about writing and finishing this book, I know that I have to quit my job at the bookstore and write full time.
I enter city hall to register as a full time, self employed writer.
My heart pounds with the realization that I will now have to support myself with only my words.  If this book fails, I’ll be on my way to a homeless shelter.
The next morning I awake with a strange nagging feeling causing anxiety in my stomach.  Then I remember that I quit my job last night in order to write full time.
Every chore that I attempt to complete after that is interrupted by the thought.  How could I have up and quit my job to write full time when I don’t even own a computer?  I involuntarily sigh just thinking about this potentially foolish move.
A shrill ringing catches my attention and pulls my mind from the repetitive thoughts filling my mind.  I check my caller ID.  Lisette Salisbury is the name showing up on the screen. Who is this? I ask myself as I push the answer call button.
“Uh…hello,” I answer; my voice clearly revealing my uncertainty.
“Hey…Athena!  This is Lisette, you met me at the cabin a few days ago.  You know…the chess tournament?”  A cheerful female voice responds.

I clear my mind enough to remember.

“Ah yes!  How are you?” I ask.

“I’m well.  I promised that I’d show you around Hidden Springs and I never back down from a promise.  Are you available tonight?” She asks.

I’m not sure if I’m up to hanging out, but I don’t want to be rude to someone nice enough to offer their friendship.  “Uh…yeah…sure.  I have to go to the House of Books today, but I’ll be available later on,” I say.
Lisette and I agree to meet tonight at 9 in front of Lars Disco Tech. It’s still early in the day, so I decide to get a head start on my new full-time career.
In front of the House of Books, my mind migrates to doubting once again.  Maybe I should go and beg for my job back at the bookstore, I say to myself.
The doubts begin to melt away once I’m sitting in front of the computer and my internal muse takes over, weaving an incredible tale starring the characters that I’ve created.

Sims 3: Athena Sparks 11

Somehow, I make my way into Desmond’s house without falling on my face or running away.  “I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that this is a bad time,” I say once I get inside.
Desmond has company which instantly makes me feel uneasy as my shyness creeps up on me.  “I can come back another time,” I continue.
“No, no, It’s fine,” Desmond tries to assure me.  “Let me introduce you.”
The thought of trying to come up with something to say to Desmond is quite enough, but trying to hold a conversation with two additional people that I don’t know is the last thing I want to do.  In fact, it would be a slow torture for me.
Before I have a chance to protest, Desmond is already introducing me to his guests.

“Bert, this is my new neighbor Athena.  Athena, this is Bert,” Desmond says.

“Good to meet you Athena, how are you liking Hidden Springs?” Bert asks.

“Uh…it’s fine,” I answer.  Then there is silence.  This is where most people would add a little more to the conversation.  Me…I just leave it at that.  I was never good at small talk.

Bert just stands there waiting for me to say something else, but I have no idea what he wants to hear.  The silence in the house is awkward with everyone just waiting.
Desmond bails me out by clearing his voice, “Um, this is Eunice,” he says introducing me to his other guest.

“Hi, nice to meet you,” I manage to say; sure that she can feel my nervousness through my sweaty palms.

I don’t even attempt to make small talk with Eunice.  I make my way back over to Desmond; desperate to escape the expectancy to make nice and tell strangers more about myself.
“Uh, thank you for having me in.  I have to be at work in an hour, so I’d better get home,” I say to Desmond.
Desmond appears to be disappointed.  “But you just got here.  Can I at least offer you some coffee?”
I sneak a quick glance over at Eunice and Bert and my stomach does an anxious flip.  I gotta get out of here, I say to myself.  “Um, can I take a rain check on that?” I ask, hopeful that he would even want to be bothered with someone so socially inept.
“OK…Don’t be a stranger,” Desmond says.  I can’t help but wonder if he is just being polite or if he’d really like to have me visit again.
The smile on his face seems genuine when I tell him that I would try to  visit again at another time.
I turn and walk toward the door; surprised to still be standing.  I did it!  I did it! I cheer to myself as I leave.
I actually managed to introduce myself and have a conversation, albeit brief, with Desmond Bailey.  I am so proud of myself.
I walk out the door and exhale. Now I wonder if I’ll have the nerve to ever return.
I walk toward my house with a fresh sense of excitement.  My heart flutters with the possibility of me actually getting to know Desmond.

The Sims 3 Hamilton & Boyd (part 33)

Note: I try to keep my Sim stories as family friendly as possible (since my 10-year-old likes to read them), but this part contains mild adult situations (no worse than some PG/PG-13 rated movies). I just wanted to be sure to put that out there! Thanks for reading, enjoy!
Their passion takes them to the bathroom where they both undress.  They enter the shower together and allow the warm water to cascade over them while they express their over-due longing for each other.
Destiny has finally given in to Drake, showing him that she only has desire for him and him alone.
Drake emerges from the shower with a smile on his face.
He is now thoroughly convinced that Destiny has been saving herself for him.
Drake and Destiny both dress.  “The Brightmore dance club has requested that I visit tonight to help them promote the club.  I wanted to know if you’d come with me.”
Drake agrees and they both enter the elevator.
They enter the Brightmore lobby and look for the elevator.  The dance club is in the basement.
Destiny approaches the bar of the very empty club and is disappointed that the bartender doesn’t appear to recognize her.
She sits down to enjoy a quick meal, but is very annoyed that she actually had to pay this time.
She and Drake hit the dance floor.  “So what is it you’re supposed to be doing here?” Drake asks also noticing that Destiny has not received the welcoming that she usually gets when she enters a club or bar.
“My agent told me to just show up and dance, but I don’t see the point, because there’s no one here.”
“Not that I’m not enjoying myself, but maybe we should come back on a better night,” Drake suggests.
He continues, drawing close to Destiny, “Besides that, I’m ready to get you back home and in bed.”
“Let’s go,” Destiny says agreeing with Drake about getting back home.
They arrive at their apartment and Drake begins to get a little frisky in the elevator.
“Not here, somebody might see us!” Destiny says pushing Drake back with a little too much force.

Drake ends up on the ground.  “Oh, I’m sorry!” Destiny apologizes.
They barely make it back into the apartment before they’re kissing again.
They undress and cuddle on the bed.
Finally they slide up under the covers where Drake has Destiny’s full permission to become frisky.
They emerge a while later.  “I love you Destiny,” Drake whispers, but Destiny has already fallen asleep.
