Sims 3: The Deans (part 37)

No longer able to avoid the inevitable, Tania slowly walks over and stands beside George III’s grave.  She reads his epitaph and bursts into tears.  “You weren’t around long enough,” she cries.
Antwain steps outside, heartbroken to see Tania riddled in grief.
“Baby, let me help you,” he says, not sure why Tania suddenly feels the need to move George III’s body, so soon after their wedding.
“Oh Antwain!” she cries; fresh tears sliding down her face onto Antwain’s shoulder.  “I have to do this alone.”
“Why do you have to do it at all?  Why now?”  Antwain asks, unaware that Tania has been secretly seeing and speaking with her dead brother while he’s asleep.
“It’s just something I have to do…for me.  I need to let him go and move on,” she says trying to convince herself as much as Antwain.
“Well, let me go with you.  I’ll help dig his ashes up,” Antwain offers.

“Antwain, I have to do this alone,” she says, praying that he’ll understand without her explaining.
“Can you at least take someone with you?  Please?” Antwain begs; knowing that Tania will need someone to lean on at the cemetery, even if it’s not him.
“OK, I’ll call my mom.  She’ll go with me,” Tania says, giving in to Antwain’s pleas.
Antwain feels much better.

Tanis grabs his hands.  “Thank you for always being there for me,” Tania says knowing that he’s trying his best, despite her pushing him away.
“I love you,” Antwain says earnestly.

Tania closes her eyes to savor each word.
“I love you too,” she says in return.
“OK…I’ll just…I’ll leave you alone to take care of this,” he says, still not getting why she’s putting herself through this emotionally draining ordeal.
Tania doesn’t quite get it ether, but she’s going to trust her mother and grandmother’s instincts.
Tania removes George’s headstone and digs up his urn filled with his ashes.  She replaces the headstone with a large rock.
Antwain stands nearby as she works, wishing there was something he could do to ease her pain.

Sims 3: The Deans (part 36)

Once again, George III’s spirit is drawn from his grave.
Repeating the patterns carried out when he was living, his first instinct is to take a shower.
Like a nearly drowned swimmer emerging from under water, Tania inhales deeply as she is awaken from her sleep by the sound of her shower being turned on.
She jumps out of bed and checks to make sure her instincts are right.  Sure enough, Antwain is still there in bed.  She knows that her grandmother would not use their shower.
It can only mean one thing.  Tania stands next to her bathroom door, waiting for her brother’s spirit to emerge.
Finally, George III leaves the bathroom and floats down the stairs.
Filled with the joy of seeing him once again, Tania follows him.
Tania’s joy is short lived, because she knows that she’ll have to say goodbye to her brother once again.  “Everyone thinks it’ll be best if I have your body moved,” she explains, more to herself than to George III.
“Do what’s best for you,” George III says in his whispery raspy voice.

“That’s the thing, I want you around, but no one else thinks that it’s a good idea.”
“You can’t push away the living, because you’re hanging on to the dead.  Move my body so that I can rest in peace,” he says.
George III says his peace, then floats outside, leaving Tania there to think about his words.
“But I’m not strong enough baby brother,” she whispers after him.
Feeling defeated by what she’s being forced to face, Tania walks upstairs to join her husband in bed.
George III, finding it tough to say goodbye to the habits of the living, lies down on the couch as if to take a nap.
Just as Antwain arrives downstairs to get ready to start his day, George III’s ghost disappears, living a orange glow that leaves Antwain believing that he’s seeing things.
Antwain chooses to ignore it and grabs leftover pancakes from the refrigerator.
Having a few days leave due to his new marriage, he decides to spend part of his day practicing his speaking skills in front of the mirror.
Tatiana wakes shortly after, glad to see the light of another day.
Tania is also awake, but her morning isn’t as joyful.  Today, she is faced with the task of exhuming her brother’s ashes and moving them to the cemetery.
After dressing, she pulls her hair up into a high bun.  She knows that today will be an emotional one for her and doesn’t want hair sticking to her tears.
Tania puts her task off for the moment to prepare breakfast.  Being in the house threatens to suffocate her, so she elects to head outside to prepare her meal.
She takes her time breaking her eggs as if slowing things down will make moving her brother’s body easier.
Her pancakes are burnt, but Tania feels numb all over.  She doesn’t even taste them.
She is all too aware of her brother’s grave behind her, awaiting a move to its final resting place.

Sims 3 The Wards (part 60)

Miles is finally able to pull himself together enough to leave on time for his concert.  His excitement over his first big concert, however, does not distract him enough to ignore the fact that it’s almost night time and Zawadi is not home yet.
Miles pulls up to the sports arena.  He knows not to expect huge crowds just yet, but he can imagine that he’ll be filling up the sports arena soon.
He rushes in before the concert crowd begins arriving.  Zawadi better be home when I get there! He says to himself, just before entering the arena.
Meanwhile, Sephora is running a little late for Miles concert.  She’s the one that gave Zawadi permission to go over Esme’s afterschool, but now she’s worried about leaving the house before Zawadi returns.
She doesn’t want to miss Mile’s first set, so she jumps on her bike and coasts down the hill.
As her mother worries, Zawadi makes her way home.
As much as she would love to stop by Mitchell’s house, she decides that she’d better not push the limits with her parents.  The smarter decision is to go home.
Zawadi enters the house, which is empty of everyone except for Dazzle who is asleep on the chair.  She then remembers that her father had his first concert tonight and that her mother is attending.
Out of breath, Sephora steps off her bike in front of the sports arena.  She’s sure that she has already missed the first set.
Sephora rushes to the arena, hoping that Miles did not forget to put her on the VIP list.
She waits in the very short line, before entering the arena.  Inside, she’s impressed by the crowd that Miles was able to draw.  She missed his first song, but makes it in time to hear her favorites.
Sephora slips out of the arena just as Miles begins introducing some of the musicians and background singers accompanying him.  As much as she enjoyed the concert, she cannot help but be worried about whether Zawadi made it home or not.
Little does Sephora know, she has nothing to worry about.
Afraid to be at home alone at night, Zawadi crawls into her parents’ bed, where she feels safe, and falls asleep.
She and Dazzle are fast asleep by the time Sephora makes it home.
Sephora arrives home and immediately begins looking for her daughter.  Zawadi!  Are you home?”  She calls out.
Sephora panics slightly when there is no answer.  Did she make it home from her classmate’s house?  She asks herself.
Then another thought occurs to her, Is she with Mitchell? Maybe I should have had the woohoo talk with her! She thinks to herself; worry all over her face.
Sephora can feel her anxiety level beginning to rise past her boiling point.  “Maybe I’m not ok with her having a boyfriend,” she says to herself.
She walks toward Zawadi’s bedroom praying to herself, please don’t let them be in here woohooing!
In a way, she’s relieved to see that Zawadi’s room is empty, but in another way it scares her because she still does not know where Zawadi is.
“Oh my God!  Where’s my baby?” She asks herself out loud.  Just before she’s about to lose it, she has one final thought, maybe she’s in our bedroom.
As Sephora pushes open her bedroom door, she again has a brief thought that Zawadi may not be alone in the bedroom.
She walks in and turns on the light; immediately breathing a sigh of relief.  “Thank God, she’s here safe…alone!”
She stares at her daughter’s pretty brown face for a few moments, feeling warmness and love in her heart.
Watching her sleeping in their bed, reminds Sephora of those times when Zawadi was a little girl and would crawl into their bed at night when she was afraid.  Those are moments that she has cherished and never thought she’d see again.
Sephora has to fight tears, as she feels herself becoming sentimental.
She briefly thinks about waking Zawadi up to relocate her to her own bed, but she doesn’t have the heart.  Instead she leaves the room to shower and get ready for bed herself.
She turns off the light and allows Zawadi to sleep on.
Meanwhile, Miles wraps everything up at the sports arena.  His concert went well and he’s proud that he was able to keep the crowd entertained.
Miles is still tying up loose ends when even the security guards begin to get restless and start to vacate the premises.
Finally Miles leaves the sports arena, again thinking about Zawadi and hoping she’s at home.
Tired and ready for bed, Sephora climbs into bed next to her daughter.
She falls asleep almost as soon as she places her head on the pillow; feeling a bond with her daughter that she once feared the teen years would rip apart.
