Now that Tania has her father’s blessing, she feels more comfortable developing her relationship with Antwain.
Warm left-over Stu’s Surprise awaits her as she begins her day.
Tania’s first task is to finish her latest painting to sell at the consignment shop. Her photography skill is off the charts, now she wants her painting skill to catch up.
Tania finishes her painting just as Antwain leaves for work.
She heads to town to find subjects needed to finish her many photo collections.
As evening approaches, Tania returns home to begin a new painting. She stares at the blank canvas looking for inspiration among its white slightly raised texture.
Antwain, looking to get to know as many people in town as possible, heads out to the local bar for an evening of socializing.
He hops on his scooter hoping that there will be plenty of people at the bar to hang out with.
Upon his arrival, he spots Tania’s mother Bianca.
He spends a few amusing moments chatting with Bianca, secretly looking forward to developing a friendship with his future mother-in-law.
To Antwain’s delight, Riverview’s lone bar is filled with patrons; there’s plenty of people for him to converse with.
He starts out playing a bit of foosball with an older gentleman. Antwain makes small talk, careful to avoid any controversial topics. He wants to make a good impression with everyone he meets.
After a few rounds, Antwain decides to check out what the fully stocked bar has to offer.
Looking to make friends with the locals, he orders a round of drinks for everyone.
Antwain is not sure whether he should grab a drink himself. If he wants to succeed in politics, he doesn’t want people to think of him as a lush…
…but he doesn’t want to seem like a prude either. He plays it safe by grabbing a drink and taking just a few sips.
Tania gets a good start on her painting and is just about to get ready for bed, when Antwain calls her cell asking her to join him at the bar.
“Sure, sounds like fun!” She agrees.
Antwain enjoys an order of nachos, while the patrons enjoy their free drinks.
Tania walks into the bar and is immediately asked to dance by a guy on the dance floor. She doesn’t want to be rude, so she does a few moves with him before politely excusing herself.
There are a few male eyes migrating towards Tania. Antwain notices, but forces himself to ignore it. He realizes that Tania is very attractive and is bound to attract a lot of male attention. Besides that, jealousy was never his thing.
The few sips at the bar were just enough to loosen him up a bit. Any shyness he may have felt has been washed away, so he hops up on the small stage in the corner and plays a few blues chords on his guitar.
Tania is drawn to the bar. She’s never had the opportunity to try a drink before, so she welcomes the chance to further veer away from her parent’s protective grasp.
She watches, mesmerized, as the drink sizzles and fizz in front of her.
She tastes the warm liquid. As the drink burns down her throat she knows that she may have discovered just what she’s always needed to wash away the seed of pressure that was planted in her by her father since she was very little…the pressure to always be the best.
One drink is not enough, so she orders and gulps down a second. She soon discovers that her exhaustion along with the drink makes her dizzy, but she’s never felt more grown-up, alive and …free.
The euphoric feeling doesn’t last very long, she experiences a buzz crash quickly. Maybe it’s time for her to get home?
She pulls the covers back supporting herself by leaning her thighs on the bed. If only she could keep the good feeling that drinking provides her without the side effects.
She quickly falls asleep. Antwain arrives home soon after and joins her.
