Drake sits on the couch with his next level mixology book, hoping to find the key to getting the right flavors out of his mixes.
As the sun sets and night begins to cover the city, Drake is very aware that Destiny isn’t home yet. He is even more aware and bothered that she hasn’t called. Still, he directs his focus into learning the mixology skill.
Destiny and Tom are still at the lounge tearing up the dance floor.
“Oh wow! I need a drink and something to eat,” Destiny says after the song ends.
“I have a fully stocked bar at home,” Tom says.
“Is that an invitation?” Destiny asks.
“Only if you want it to be. The ball is in your court.”
Destiny walks away for a moment to consider Tom’s offer; knowing that he has way more on his mind than food and drinks.
Not knowing why, Destiny pulls out her cell phone and snaps a picture of Tom. Before moving to Bridgeport, she was always a huge fan of him and his music. Now she is here facing a chance to be intimate with him…her celebrity crush.
Destiny holds out her hand, thanking Tom for his offer. “I’ll have to pass.”
“Why not Shorty?”
Destiny is finding it hard to resist, but Drake’s face pops up in her mind. Still, she moves in close. “We’re here to hang out. If I leave with you…that’s a date. I have a boyfriend waiting for me at home.” Destiny reveals.
Destiny walks to the bar. She realizes that Tom will probably be angry with her for a while, but she has decided to remain loyal to Drake.
Still, she is curious to know what it would be like to be with a celebrity. Being seen with Tom would definitely boost her celebrity status…
…but no, Destiny is determined to make it in the business based on her talents, not based on her performance in the bedroom. Or based on who she is seen entering a club with.
Tom leaves angry. Destiny orders food at the bar.
The bartender, recognizing Destiny right away hands her a group serving of eggrolls. “It’s on the house! Just wait until I tell everyone that Destiny Hamilton was here…and with Tom Wordy!” He says excitedly.
“Thanks,” Destiny says quietly. The last thing she wants everyone to know is that she was here with Tom.
If that gets out, it’s only a matter of time before Drake finds out.
