Tania decides to shower and change. She feels newly energized and excited about being engaged to the man she’s loved since she was a teen. Antwain goes downstairs and calls his mother to inform her of his engagement.
Leticia is thrilled that her son is getting married. “You need to bring my future daughter-in-law over so that I can get to know her,” Leticia commands.
“I will mom! I promise,” Antwain answers.
Just as Antwain is finishing up his phone call, Tania descends the stairs looking absolutely beautiful.
“Let’s go celebrate!” She suggests.
“Are you sure you’re not too tired?” Antwain asks.
“Are you sure you’re not too tired?” Antwain asks.
Tania assures him that she feels fine. They hop in her car and head to town.
Tania and Antwain enter the local bistro and place their orders. They decide to dine outside where they can be alone.
Antwain tells Tania all about the proposal that he had planned the night she left for France.
Tania is surprised to hear all of the intricate details.
“I’m so sorry Antwain. I had no idea. You must have been so disappointed.”
“Don’t worry about it. Not getting to play it out and having you leave like that showed me how much I really, really love you…
I missed you so much and after experiencing that, I knew that I never want to live another day without you by my side.”
Tania and Antwain finish dinner and head home. At their house, a stranger picks the lock and crosses the threshold.
Tania and Antwain see him as he enters. “Who is that?” Tania asks.
Luckily they set the alarm before they left and are relieved when it begins to blare. “Let’s just circle the block and let the police handle this,” Antwain suggests.
“No way!” Tania says before jumping out of the car, ”He’s not getting any of my stuff!”
Antwain follows her out of the car and the two of them confront the burglar.
Before Antwain can stop her, Tania attacks using every karate move her father has ever taught her.
Antwain is terrified. Tania fights so quickly that he avoids jumping in, in fear that he’d hit Tania instead of the burglar. He stands by helplessly.
Tania doesn’t need his help. She catches the burglar by surprise and gives him thrashing after thrashing.
Before long, the burglar is on his backside.
Tania stands proud of her work as the burglar coughs, holds his injured body parts and tries to stand.
Antwain stands by shocked and dismayed that Tania has single handedly beat up the burglar.
Tania is happy that her martial arts skills worked so efficiently.
Antwain chases the burglar out the door.
Tania, with her adrenaline pumping in full force, works through some of her martial arts poses.
Outside the burglar walks away. Antwain tries to get him to stop so that the cops can arrest him. “Not so fast,” Antwain says.
The burglar takes off running as soon as he is out of arm’s reach.
“What’s taking the cops so long? He’s getting away!” Antwain says to no one in particular.
