The Sims 3: The Deans (part 9)

Antwain begins moving in.
He’s in the process of putting clothes in the dresser when one of the drawers gets stuck.
Wham! Down to the floor he goes, glad that Tania is not there to bare witness to his embarrassment.
Antwain recovers, changes clothes and heads downtown to city hall to apply for a job in politics.
Antwain arrives downtown hoping that there’s an open position.  He knows that he would make a great politician some day, but for now he would be more than happy to take an entry level position.
While Antwain is downtown, Tania heads next door to visit her family.
Tatiana answers the door and Tania thinks back to the big scare the family experienced on her birthday when Tatiana almost passed away.
Tatiana asks about Tania’s new house, “I bet you appreciate the privacy”, she says with a wink. “Oh my goodness…did she see us last night?” Tania asks herself silently, thinking about her night with Antwain.
Just then, her father George Jr. arrives home.
“How are you adjusting over there?” He asks. Tania tells him that all is great. “Be sure to lock up at night and don’t let any strangers in,” George warns in his stern military officer voice.
George Jr. turns and walks to the side yard and sits at the bar. Tania follows him.  She really wants to tell him that Antwain has moved in with her.  She blends her father a drink to mellow him out a bit before she tells him.
“Dad, Antwain lives with me now,” the words burst out of her mouth a lot quicker than she intended. With her heart beating a hundred times a minute, she waits for George Jr. to respond, but…
…he doesn’t. He walks into the house leaving Tania outside in the backyard alone. Her heart sinks.  She has made her father beyond angry.
Antwain arrives home, thrilled about his new position as a podium polisher in the politics career.
Tania does not follow her father this time.  She feels that it would be best to allow him to calm down before she approaches him again.
Antwain checks the refrigerator for left-overs.  He’s feeling pretty good about he and Tania’s decision to move-in together.
Tania and Antwain sit down for lunch and Antwain tells Tania about his new position at City Hall.
Tania tries to listen attentively, but…
…she’s still thinking about her father’s reaction to Antwain moving in.
Tania thinks about planning a trip abroad to get away and allow her father to calm down.
Maybe with time, her father will be more open to her and Antwain living together.
Tania decides not to tell Antwain about the incident with her father, instead she engages him in conversation about his new job.
Antwain is more than happy to tell her more.  He goes on and on…
…and on about the low pay that he’ll receive initially
“Don’t worry about it,” Tanya says assuring him, “the experience you’ll gain will be priceless”.
“See, that’s why I love you so much!” Antwain tells her.
This warms Tania’s heart, because it’s the first time Antwain has told her that he loves her. “I love you, too,” she tells him.
Antwain goes into the game room to give the foosball table a try.
While Tania heads outside to begin a new painting.  In her heart, she knows that her dad is going to be angry with her for a while, but with the love that she feels for Antwain, she’s decided that she could care less.
Antwain wants to tell his mother about his new job.  His mother Leticia was proud of him when he told her that he was moving out on his own.  He knows that she will be thrilled to find out that he has already secured a good job.
He calls her up, already missing her a bit.  His mom raised him as a single mom and has always been his biggest supporter.
Just as he thought, Leticia is thrilled about his new job.  He gives her all the details and even tells her how much he loves Tania.
“My baby is growing up,” his mother says with both pride and a touch of sadness in her voice. This makes Antwain miss her even more.
“I’ll always be here for you,” he assures her.
“Don’t worry about me,” she counters, “just continue to be a good man.  And don’t make me a grandmother any time soon!” She warns.  Antwain is amused, “I won’t mom,” he answers.
Antwain is determined to make his mother proud.
Antwain has been dabbling with playing guitar on the side.  He goes upstairs to the empty bedroom to practice for a while.
Tania, finishes up her painting just as Antwain begins playing.
Tania hears Antwain’s music drifting from upstairs.  She goes up to listen, she had no idea how talented Antwain was.
The next morning, Antwain awakes and has his breakfast.
Tania rushes downstairs to join him, ready for a full day of photography.
Antwain decides to prepare himself for his new job.
He takes time to practice his public speaking skills to improve his charisma.  With his mom’s support and a beautiful woman by his side, Antwain is more than ready to begin this new stage in his life.
