It’s Sephora’s turn to wake up early.
Sephora picks Zawadi up out of her crib; amazed at how fast she’s growing up.
Sephora dresses Zawadi and thinks about all of the things that she needs to accomplish today. Sephora still has to complete a stone sculpture for the corporate towers and her garden is struggling. She wonders how she’s going to get it all done.
On top of all of the other things, Sephora still has to teach Zawadi a few skills. For right now, Sephora focuses on potty training.
Miles is up, ready for another productive day. He also has a lot of things that he needs to accomplish. It is due time for another work promotion, but he’s going to have to work very hard to get it.
While Zawadi is occupied with her toys…
…Miles and Sephora step outside for a moment to share a kiss. They realize that the only way to accomplish their long term goals is to keep their marriage strong.
Back inside, Zawadi enjoys her morning bottle.
Miles and Sephora sit down with her to enjoy breakfast as a family.
Sephora takes Zawadi outside so that she can keep an eye on her while she gardens.
Rather than leaving early to play in the park, Miles takes some time to help Zawadi with her walking skill.
Zawadi can take some steps, but she still has a lot of practicing to do before she’ll be running around the house.
While gardening, Sephora gets a call from an old friend.
Sephora has not spoken to Laurel since her pregnancy. She cannot wait until she has more time to develop friendships.
Laurel asks about Sephora’s sculpturing. Sephora is more than happy to tell her about her new projects.
While Sephora is talking to Laurel, Miles has to leave for work.
Sephora finishes up her conversation. Sephora hasn’t had the time to meet too many people since being in Barnacle Bay. She really needs to get out more.
For now, she begins work on the stone sculpture for Doo Peas Corporate Towers. This sculpture will be displayed in the lobby, so Sephora is determined to make it special.
As night approaches, Sephora begins to get nervous as thoughts of the creepy feelings that she felt the night before begins to resurface.
Sephora is extra alert tonight. If there is something strange going on in her house, she is determined not to let it sneak up on her.
Sephora also keeps an eye on Zawadi, noting if there are any changes in her behavior or mood.
The only tangible evidence that anything strange might have happened the previous night is a book left out on the counter that neither she nor Miles put there. Sephora ignores it for now.
Sephora is relieved that there are no changes in temperature in the room and no weird feelings in her gut.
Sephora and Zawadi eat in peace.
Sephora gives Zawadi a kiss goodnight after placing her in her crib. She would much rather keep Zawadi close to her until Miles gets home, but Zawadi is tired and cranky.
While in the bathroom washing up for the night, Sephora almost jumps out of her skin when she hears the front door slam in the other room.
Turns out it is only Miles coming in from work, but Sephora doesn’t know that he’s home.
Miles immediately goes in to check on Zawadi…
…so Sephora does not see him when peeps out of the bathroom door to check. She retreats back into the bathroom with her heart pounding in her chest. “Our house really is haunted,” She whispers to herself.
Miles, unaware that Sephora is in the bathroom scared almost to death, picks Zawadi up.
Miles gives Zawadi a goodnight hug. He never imagined that he could love a child so much. He puts Zawadi back in the crib and goes to find Sephora.
Sephora is revealed to learn that Miles was the one who slammed the door. The couple goes to cuddle on the bed. Sephora’s heartbeat has sped up once again, but this time it’s not out of fear.
It’s because she is close to the man that she loves. She wants to be even closer to him.
Miles caresses her hand before pulling her close…
… and gently places his lips on hers.
They are both sleepy, but passion overrules their fatigue.
Sephora finally feels calm and safe. In Miles arms, she believes that nothing can frighten her.
The couple shares a few moments of closeness, passion and love.
Miles stares into Sephora’s eyes, while Sephora returns his passionate gaze. Then they fall asleep in each other’s arms.
