Drake is up, ready for another day.
Destiny stops to pay a few bills before heading to her carpool.
Destiny has only been working as Best Girl for a couple of days, but she’s already fed up. Being someone’s errand girl is just not up her ally.
While the production crew and director sit around pretending to be busy, Destiny is asked to go and “fetch” lunch for the crew at Hogan’s diner.
Destiny complains to herself the whole time. “I moved here to be on the big screen, not run freaking errands!”
Destiny returns to work with the crew’s lunches. She spots a member of the paparazzi standing outside the doors of the movie set.
Destiny runs right passed him, but he barely even glances her way. To him, she is just a nobody. “Jerk!” She thinks to herself. “One day you will be begging for me to give you the time of day.”
Drake has finished up his shift at the bookstore. He has been promoted and earned a raise. Now he is ready to work on his true passion – drink mixing and bartending.
Destiny is home from work. Determined not to be Best Girl for much longer, she heads to the nearest mirror to work on her charisma skills.
While at work, Destiny stumbled upon a stack of scripts in the director’s office. She grabbed one off the top and has decided to begin trying to memorize it while working on her acting/charisma skills.
After leaving work, Drake decides to return to the sports bar. He figures that since he already has a bit of rapport with the bartender, he stands a greater chance of being allowed to moonlight here again.
“Not you again dude.” The bartender says as Drake walks up to the bar.
“Come on man…you have to give me another chance!”
“I don’t think so.”
“Come on. Someone had to give you a chance once, right?”
“I don’t know dude. I can’t have you serving up liquid poison to the customers.”
“It’ll give you a chance to slip in the back for a break…maybe play a little shuffleboard.”
“Alright, alright. Just don’t make a mess or touch these more expensive drink mixes here at the bottom.”
“Gotcha…don’t touch.” Drake repeats.
Once again, Drake is in charge of the bar by himself. He hopes he doesn’t get any requests for any tough drink mixes.
At home, Destiny is focused on learning the script that she grabbed from work.
It’s not long before Drake gets his first drink request. The requester happens to be the pretty brunette that he danced with at the Aquarius club.
“Hey, I didn’t catch your name the other night.” Drake says before tossing his drink mix in the air.
“I’m Cressida.”
Drake’s bottle flies high over his head. He prays that he catches it. For some reason, it’s really important to him to leave a good impression on Cressida.
Splash!! No such luck, the bottle slips from his hand and drink mix is all over the floor.
Drake gives it another try. Cressida is far from impressed.
Drake manages not to drop the bottle, but Cressida is not the least bit interested in the drink anymore. She looks longingly at the VIP door, wishing she had ordered from the bartender there.
So as not to be rude, she accepts the drink that Drake has made.
“Sorry about that. I’m obviously new to this.” Drake apologizes.
Cressida, in need of a real drink decides to head back over to the VIP bar.
“So much for impressing the ladies,” Drake thinks to himself as Cressida begins to walk away. Drake is glad that the weekend is coming up. He needs all the time that he can get to practice his drink making skills.
