Sims 3 The Pratts (part 23)

After a weekend of milestones including: celebrating his mom’s retirement, aging to an adult, getting engaged, getting married and enjoying an incredible wedding night with his new bride, Spencer is not surprised to find that he is running late for his first day of work.
Although the Pratt family has a house keeper, the perfectionist in Rena cannot stand the idea of leaving the bed unmade.  Besides that, she believes that everyone should clean up after themselves.
Rena has always been interested in music.  In fact, her lifetime wish is to someday become a Hit Movie Composer.  She is thrilled to see a grand piano in the Pratt’s sitting room.
Spencer doesn’t know how he is going to make it through the day.  He has to survive his first day of work on a few hours sleep.
He prays that a strong espresso will see him through the day.  The lively aroma alone gives him a brief burst of energy.
After drinking down his steaming hot espresso as quickly as he could,  scalding his lips and tongue in the process, Spencer runs to make it to his car pool in time.
Candy wakes up feeling excited about what the next few months will bring.  Her son has married a woman that Candy is proud to call daughter-in-law.  Now she hopes to have a grandchild to dote on soon.
Spencer makes it halfway through the work day, before he is tapped out.  He feels lucky that his mother owns the company, because he cannot make it another minute.  He slips out shortly after his lunch period where he found himself dosing off and drooling all over his lunch.
On top of that, he has a killer headache.  Maybe his espresso was a bit too strong.
Spencer’s head is still pounding when he finally gets home.  He would love to find Rena and give her a big kiss, because he’s missed not seeing her today, but he fears that he would fall asleep before their lips even touched.

Spencer goes straight upstairs for a nap.
Candy’s new found self love is taking her places that she’s never been before.  Suddenly she finds herself dropping a lot of ill feelings towards her  aging body…
 …as well as her clothes.
Candy has never felt so content and free.  It’s like she’s beginning to see herself for the very first time.
Rena still finds it hard to believe that she became engaged and married all in the same day.
She has time on her hands, so she grabs the electric guitar and practices on it.  She feels fortunate to live in a house with so many different ways to occupy her time.
Spencer’s brother Seneca comes home with Gwen to congratulate his brother on his marriage.  When he finds that Spencer is resting, he decides not to stick around.
Candy, hearing the school bus pull up, quickly hops out of the hot tub and puts on her clothes.
The thrill of almost being caught in the nude amuses her.  She finds that being a bit daring is fun.
Gwen arrives home thinking about getting a part-time job.  She can either work at the supermarket, the book store, the salon or the cemetery.  The only option that even remotely fits her personality is the cemetery.  Gwen goes upstairs to check the internet and see if there are any positions available.
Candy receives an invitation to a party at the home of Garret Tubbs.  Candy, still revelling at the thought of being daring, picks out a dress that follows that theme.
Candy tries something new with her hair and picks a bold red for her makeup.  She’s ready to party.
The party does not begin for a few hours, so Candy has time to take care of some business before she leaves for Garret’s party.
She calls up the accountants at her three investment properties to see if her checks are available for pickup.
Candy arrives at the Doo Peas Tower to pick up her first check.  Now that she is seeing the tower through retired eyes, she just can’t understand why she found it so important to put so much time and energy into her job.  She wishes she would have spent more time stopping and smelling the roses during her youth.
Meanwhile, Spencer has gotten some much needed rest and gets a opportunity to find out just how talented his new bride is…
…while Gwen sits in the hot tub looking forward to beginning her first day of work as a Graveyard Clerk.
