Mercedes is very close to her due date.
Notzo gives his new wife a kiss before he leaves for work.
Mercedes gives the house a good cleaning in preparation for the baby’s arrival.
After spending the morning cleaning, Mercedes decides that a good massage is just what the doctor ordered so she heads for the day spa.
After school, Lexus rushes to the day spa for work.
Lexus’ shift is cut short when Mercedes goes into labor in the middle of her facial.
Lexus rushes with her mother to the hospital.
All of the jealousy and ill feelings begin to melt away as Lexus gets to the hospital. She’s never seen her mother in so much pain and wants to be a positive support for her.
When they get to the hospital, Lexus calls Notzo to let him know that the baby is on its way. He tells her that he will get there as soon as he can.
Mercedes hesitates in front of the hospital. She wants to wait until Notzo gets there, but the contractions are beginning to get overwhelming. Lexus talks her into waiting for Notzo inside.
Not more than ten minutes later, Notzo bursts into the hospital looking for his wife.
Mercedes gave birth to Lexus at home all alone. She is thrilled to be surrounded by the loves of her life in a hospital during this birth. She’s all smiles between contractions.
After an exhausting few hours, Mercedes gives birth to Taye Price – a healthy baby boy born with the slob and athletic traits.
This experience has touched Lexus in more than one way. She has had a chance to see what a great husband Notzo really is and being around the medical environment has influenced Lexus to pursue a career in the medical field. Her lifetime wish is to become a world renowned surgeon.
A taxi arrives to take the new family home.
Notzo stares at his family from outside the taxi for a short while before he gets in. If his mother was still alive, she’d say, “Notzo, you’ve done good son!”
Lost in thought, no one says a word on the drive home.
Mercedes reflects on how far she has come in life. Fifteen years ago, she was a broke single mother scrambling through town trying to make money to feed her new baby. Now she has a successful career, beautiful daughter, great husband and a new son.
Lexus thinks about how spoiled and ungrateful she has behaved the last few months. She is embarrassed by how she has treated Notzo and how she hated the fact that her mother was pregnant. Now she couldn’t be happier to have a little brother.
The Price family arrives home.
Baby Taye gets his first look at his home.

Notzo immediately calls his sister Bunny over to meet her new nephew.
Lexus gets an opportunity to hold her new baby brother.
She stares into his eyes and smells his sweet new baby smell.
Lexus is immediately in love!
As Mercedes watches Lexus and Taye, she thinks about how grateful she is for her unexpected honeymoon gift.
Notzo fell in love with his wife even more after seeing her delivery their son like a champ.
He lets her know how gorgeous he thinks she is.
Baby Taye alertly examines his new environment.
Notzo’s sister Bunny arrives eager to spend time with her brother’s new family.
Notzo is very happy to see her.
Notzo invites Bunny in and grabs her into a big bear hug. He loves his sister so much!
Mercedes and Bunny watch as Notzo goes to interact with his son. Mercedes is deeply touched by seeing this father and son interaction. She never had the opportunity to witness the father/child bond when Lexus was born.
Notzo is very gentle and loving as he picks Taye up.
While Notzo is bonding with his son, Bunny and Mercedes get to know each other. Mercedes asks about Bunny’s career.
Notzo picks Taye up and stares into his pretty brown eyes.
He lifts his son up over his head. Taye seems to enjoy every minute of it.
Notzo pulls Taye in close…
…and Taye gently lays his tiny head on his father’s shoulder.
Notzo never thought that fatherhood would be so fulfilling. He is thrilled to experience it.
Taye has had a long first day. Notzo takes him up to his crib in the room that he will be sharing with Lexus.
Mercedes and Bunny seem to have a lot of things In common. Mercedes thinks to herself that she is going to love having Bunny for a sister-in-law.
The delivery leaves Mercedes exhausted, so she goes upstairs to take a nap.
Notzo returns downstairs and immediately uses his mooch trait to try and get his sister to give him some money. “Not this garbage again!” she thinks to herself, “some things just never change!”
Bunny turns him down.
Notzo doesn’t give up. “It’s for the baby,” he tells her.
This time Bunny gives in. “Only because he’s my nephew,” she says.
Notzo thanks his sister for the money and tells her how much he loves her.
Bunny tells him that she loves him too and leaves for home.
Notzo sees the quiet house as an opportunity to work on his side hobby of writing. He starts a fiction novel called, "When a Snitch Comes Back Home” partially based on his previous job as a police snitch.
Mercedes wakes from her nap and immediately changes from her maternity clothes. A stylist has to look great at all times, so she slips on the most fashion conscious sweat suit that she owns – no mom jeans here! Mercedes looks forward to what the next few days will bring.
