Sims 3: The Wards (part 2)

While at the neighborhood cook-out, Sephora decides grill up some organic tofu dogs since everyone else is preparing meat dishes that she refuses to eat.
Sephora & Miles head to city hall after leaving the cook-out at the beach. Sephora decides that she would like to register for a professional, self-employed career as a sculptor.
The city hall in Barnacle Bay is located in a older historical building.
They decide to take a tour to learn more about the historical significance of the building.  During the tour, the newlyweds slip away from their tour guide for a bit of woo-hooing in the judges chamber.
Before turning in for the evening, Sephora checks out the local paper to find out about any up-coming events in town.
Sephora & Miles had a nice time during their first day in the new town, but are worn out in the end.
The next morning, Sephora wakes up excited to spend a new day in a new town.  To top it off, Miles begins his first day of work at the theater.
Sephora was taught by her mother that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, so as a new wife she wants to prepare her husband breakfast on his first day of his new job.
She carefully gathers all of the ingredients to make organic waffles.  She measures everything and mixes it all until it is the perfect consistency.
Miles does what he thinks is his “husbandly duty” and takes the recycling out to the curb.
While cooking the waffles, Sephora’s mind begins to wander a bit.  “What type of sculpture should I create today?” She asks herself.
Well, she spent a bit too much time planning her day and burnt the waffles.
Miles is grateful for his wife’s attempt at cooking for him.  He pretends to like them, but the waffles are of horrifying quality and…
…he finds it a bit tough to keep them down.  Luckily he married Sephora for her intelligence and beauty and not for her cooking!
Sephora tidy’s up the house a bit, but when she goes into the bathroom to wash her hands, her neurotic trait kicks in and she gets obsessed with checking the sink over and over to make sure it’s turned off and not dripping water.
She finally makes it outside to begin her new sculpture.  She works with clay once again.
When Sephora is outside creating, her mind is clear and her neurotic obsessions seem to diminish.  She is at her happiest with a hammer and chisel in her hand and the sun warm against her skin.
Miles finds his happiness in plucking the strings of his guitar.
Sephora closes her eyes, breathes in the warm ocean air and imagines a finished creation before her.
While Miles closes his eyes and opens his ears and heart to the melodic rhythms that seem to escape from his taunt guitar strings.
After a few hours of work, the image that Sephora pictured begins to appear before her.
Before long she has a real object that she can either use, display or sell.
Sephora is a vegetarian who is into organic foods.  She wants to learn the gardening skill, so she heads to the bookstore for a gardening book.
Miles is very excited about beginning his new job at the theater.
Sephora takes a look at the gardening books, but is upset that she cannot afford to purchase any books.  Maybe there’s another way for her to learn the gardening skill.
At the bookstore, Sephora overheard some of the customers discussing a new resell shop that just opened in town. Sephora heads over to the Barnacle Bay Resell shop and meets Flora Annan and her family.
Flora finds it interesting that Sephora actually works as a sculptor.  “My job is so boring,” Flora complains.
“With sculpting, you never know exactly what you’re going to get,” Sephora states.
Sephora asks Flora what she does for a living and Flora reveals that she is a cook.  Sephora finds this exciting, especially since she can’t even cook waffles or tofu dogs without burning them.
Sephora is happy to meet Flora and plans to stay in touch with her.  She says good-bye and heads home.
Evening is approaching, but Sephora is determined to use the last bit of light to begin a new sculpture.  This time her medium is wood.
Once again, Sephora closes her eyes and pictures a completed image.  Once she has a clear picture of what she wants to create, she opens her eyes and begins working.
Just as she is about to finish up, Miles arrives home.
Sephora welcomes her husband with a big kiss and the two of them retire to bed for the evening.
The next morning, Miles wakes up bright and early to practice his guitar playing in the park.  He remembered what his boss Juan said about being seen as much as possible.  Miles figured that the best way to do that is by performing in public.
Sephora slept in for a while, but begins sculpturing as soon as she gets up.  She’s determined to finish the sculpture that she started last night.
Miles’ performing draws a couple of listeners.
Sephora finishes up her 3rd sculpture.  She decides that she is ready to begin selling her sculptures and advancing her career.
While performing, Miles notices his boss Juan sitting on a bench in the park.  Miles is extra excited that his boss is listening to him perform so he puts just a bit more enthusiasm into his performance.
Juan begins to walk over.  Miles just knows that Juan is coming to tell him how great he’s playing. His heart beats in anticipation…
Wrong! Juan was just passing by so that he could flirt with one of Miles’ listeners.
Juan barely even hears Miles’ guitar playing and he’s certainly not impressed.  He’s more interested in asking the pretty lady behind Miles if she is single.
Juan rudely talks through Miles’ performance.  Miles can’t help but be a bit disappointed that his guitar playing is not leaving an impression on his boss.
Or maybe Juan is more interested in furthering his own career than he is in helping Miles with his.  Juan may not be the mentor that Miles has been looking for.
Sephora revisits the resell shop to consign two of her statues.
If she is able to sell her creations for enough money, she’ll be able to move up quickly in her career.  Hopefully, someone will be interested in her art.
Once again, Sephora visits the bookstore, but again leaves disappointed because she cannot afford to purchase any gardening books.
Miles leaves the park feeling a bit foolish that he thought that Juan might be a friend to him.  It appears that in the music business, it’s every man for himself.
Juan purposely wanted to show Miles that the music business is a cut throat business.  If Miles learns this lesson early enough, then and only then will he become a great musician.
Sephora really wants to learn the gardening skill, but she and Miles do not have much money. She sits and tries to think of other ways to develop this skill.
While she sits and thinks, she gets a mysterious phone call from someone who works in some citizens warehouse in town.  Apparently, they are willing to pay her a lot of money if she makes them 3 wooden statues.  Sephora is suspicious about the call, but she and Miles could definitely use the money.
Sephora decides to get started on the statues the next day. Now that she has a bit of time on her hands, she decides to explore Barnacle Bay.  Her first stop is the Wanderers Watering Hole.
The Wanderers Watering Hole appears to be a local spot where you can hosts parties, or just come to hang out.  While Sephora is there, she spots Flora once again.
Sephora really enjoys talking to Flora, so she engages her in a bit of small talk about the weather in Barnacle Bay.
Flora reveals that Barnacle Bay usually has gorgeous weather, but does have its share of storms from time to time.
Sephora tells Flora that she’s interested in learning how to garden.  Flora tells her about a couple of gardens in town where she may or may not be able to find seeds to start a garden. Sephora thanks her and sets off to explore the locations.
Sephora hops on her bike and follows the directions that Flora gives her.  She ends up at a park called Grace’s Garden.  Although the name suggests that it’s a garden, there is no actual fruit/vegetable garden there.
The park is charming and beautiful. Sephora can tell that this will be one of her favorite places to visit.  She takes it all in for a few moments, then sets off in search of the second park suggested by Flora.
Sephora arrives at the 2nd location, called Garden of the Forgotten, at sunset and literally stops breathing for a few moments.  The view here is absolutely breathtaking.
In an almost hypnotic state, she practically sleep walks over to a bench and sits.
Sephora has never seen a view so gorgeous in her life.
The outdoor lover in her is in heaven and Sephora would be happy if she never had to leave this location.
