Everyone starts to become restless; each reflecting on what Candy meant in their lives.
Sam takes an opportunity to spend a few moments with his younger sister Evelyn. “Was it this hard when mom died?” He asks.
Sam has so many regrets in his life. Cheating on Candy is one, but not being around when his own mother passed away is another. He allowed his own selfishness to separate him from his family for too long.
“I’m so sorry. I’ve always regretted not being there during her last days.”
Sam gets up to leave. “She forgave you a long time ago,” his sister offers; hoping that it provides her brother some comfort.
“Thank you!” He answers, acknowledging the effort.

Rena stands by as Mimi recounts stories of her time living in the Pratt household. “Your mother-in-law was tough, but she had the kindest heart.”
Sam notices Spencer sitting alone. He walks over but finds it hard to offer his son comfort while he’s dealing with his own pain.
Spencer lets him off the hook by excusing himself to go and check on Chelsea.
Sam follows Spencer upstairs, but stops at Chelsea’s doorway. Suddenly he realizes that he has nothing to say. He descends the stairs and returns home to deal with his own grief.
Chelsea is well rested and in a playful mood.
Spencer returns downstairs with her as family members and friends begin to leave.
Spencer sits with his daughter; looking forward to seeing her grow, ready to let past hurts go.
Rena speaks to the few remaining family members.
Finally she joins her small family in front of the TV.
“I think I can move on now. I have the closure that I needed,” Spencer reveals out of the blue.
He picks Chelsea up and holds her close.
Rena silently prays that she will have the strength to move on as well.
