Sims 3 The Pratts (part 38)

Spencer begins his day with his daughter Chelsea in his mind.
He wants nothing more than to stop her tears and fulfill her needs.  She is his new reason for living and working so hard.
Gwen wakes up having a tough time dealing with the events of the past few days.  Her heart is longing for the mother she took for granted.  Now it’s too late.
The tears finally stop and Gwen decides to attempt to make things better between herself and Spencer.
She ties a scarf over her shaved head.  She doesn’t want her hair to be a source of frustration for him.
“You look nice,” Spencer says over his shoulder when he sees Gwen.

“Thanks,” she mumbles, internally grateful for the compliment.
Sarah goes about her duties; quite aware that Spencer has not really addressed her at all since Candy’s passing.  She has no idea if he plans to continue to employ her or not.
Spencer has left for work and Chelsea is sleeping, so Rena decides to practice on the piano.
Rena’s fingers find the right keys effortlessly.  Every so often she regrets her decision to quit the music industry, but now that she’s pregnant once again, she knows that music will have to take a backseat to motherhood.
Sarah has been successful in learning quite a few new recipes.  Hopefully, her cooking skills will ensure that the Pratt family, particularly Spencer,  will keep her employed.  She tries out a new French toast recipe.
She pops the French toast in the oven to brown it.  So far the toast looks pretty good.
She is pleased when the French toast comes out perfect.
Rena tends to Chelsea while waiting for Spencer to return home.  She cannot wait to tell him that they are going to be parents for the second time.
There is still a few hours before Spencer is scheduled to arrive home for work.  Rena spends the time working on a new architectural sketch.
Meanwhile, Spencer leaves work with a smile on his face.  He has received the promotion that his boss Alex mentioned to him.
He knows that his mother Candy would have been pleased.  The thought makes Spencer emotional.
His mother has taught him well and Spencer is determined to make her memory proud.
